CRUISING FAQ’s
-
Every cruise line strives to keep passengers safe, and ensure that guests and crew are staying healthy at sea. Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) — the world's largest cruise association — requires that its members comply with all standards and regulations to ensure passenger safety. The average cruise ship undergoes dozens of safety inspections per year and adheres to (or exceeds) requirements set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
-
Cruise lines keep passengers and crews healthy with strict cleanliness rules and exceptional medical resources. They have dedicated an enormous amount of resources toward hiring highly qualified medical professionals — including pediatricians and physicians — who adhere to strict international standards of treatment. Every cruise ship will always have medics and health centers aboard for check-ups or emergencies.
-
The benefits add up! Every cruise line has a loyalty program. The rewards they offer are almost always combinable with CruisesOnly's exclusive benefits and our other one-of-a-kind extras. Ask a Let’s Talk Travel agent about the perks that come with being a past passenger with a fleet-by-fleet breakdown of these programs.

Not to worry - although cruise lines may require different forms of identification, an agent will always be at your side to assist you in understanding what documentation to bring such as passports and photo IDs, vaccination records, emergency medical documents, etc.
When it comes to packing, remember that regardless of how long your vacation is on board, there are usually laundry facilities or dry cleaning services for passengers to use. Less can be more on the high seas. If you ever have questions, ask your agent about what to include on your packing list.
